When did you reliaze that your family loved you?

When mom and dad got a divorce they always told me that they would love me no matter what. I finally realized this when they both took me and my brother out to my favorite resturant. We all laughed and talked AND ate fries and burgers. It was hard to think that they were actually divorced. We felt like a family. And then I realized were still a family. That when I realized my family loved me!

My Bestowal Item

It was Christmas morning. My Uncle Neil had come down from Missouri to celebrate with us. I had already opened many presents before I saw a small present deep under the tree to me from my Uncle Neil. I picked it out from under the tree and started to open it. Inside I found a brown, stuffed, moose. It's fur was chocolate brown with matching eyes, snow white antlers, and dark hooves. I gave my Uncle a big hug and thanked him.
I love my Uncle, so every time I see the moose, I think of him.

This I Believe

I believe in hope. Hope that life will be great and that life will treat you fairly. Hope that life will be good. Hope that you will keep hangin' on. Life keeps going. you just gotta hope it will be great.

Our Topic: Who We Are

An inquiry into the nature of the self; beliefs and values; personal, physical, mental, social, and spiritual health; human relations including families, friends, communities, and cultures; rights and responsibilities; what it means to be human.

Have You Ever Done Something You Regret?

One time I was walking into school when I heard little footsteps behind me. I have a friend who, if she was near me, would run up behind me. I would whip around and say, "I thought I heard little footsteps behind me!" Then we would both burst out laughing.
Well this time I say, " I thogh-"before I realized I was a brown-haired boy that I didn't even know. I just put my head down and kept walking. I was so embarassed!

My Topic and Research

My topic is saving the national parks/deforestation. Some of my research includes:
  • In 100 years, it is estimated that most of our forests will be gone
  • Global warming is caused by greenhouse gases and trees absorb greenhouse gases wich could help global warming stop
  • National parks only get 1/13 of the American budget
  • We are near having to close down some of our parks because of under-funding

Haley: The First Person to Make me Feel Invincible

The first person to make me feel invincible was Haley, my god-sister and one of my best friends. She always make me feel good and that I can do anything and that I am a good person. She made me feel great. When I was sick, when my parents got a divorce, no matter what, she made me feel good.
One time, she and I were planting a garden her backyard. We planted carrots, herbs, tomatoes, etc. We talked, than laughed, then talked some more. She was so nice even though I had been bored and sad before.  She made me happy through her words and laughs. When I went home, I felt good about myself.
That's why my god-sister Haley was the first person to make me feel invincible and great.
